10,000 Trees has begun

The Canopy the Capital initiative officially got under way last Saturday with the Spring Tree Walk in Carson City. Over 50 attendees were there. We observed the diversity of trees that our town can support and saw many state champion tree that Carson City hosts.  The next walk will be for fall color in a few months.  In the mean time, the Friends of the Urban Forest are looking for projects and FUNDING for projects.
